Years ago I read, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth Prophecy and recently re-read it again. It’s even more interesting now in light of world developments.
The Emerald Tablets of Thoth are believed to have been written by the Egyptian god Thoth some 36,000 years ago. There are sources that say Hermes Trismegistus might have been their true author. The tablets say that Hermes was an incarnation of Thoth. The tablets tell a tale of a great journey from Atlantis to ancient Egypt to learn secrets of spiritual attainment and immortality.
The quotes and passages below are ones that I found interesting in, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth. I didn’t summarize the interpretations of all the the tablets but only some that stood out to me and you may find them interesting too. This post could have become much longer because the tablets are ALL very interesting and each one reveals, at times, startling information. Thoth warns of a war which will halve the races of men in Tablet 12: The Law of Cause and Effect and the Key of Prophecy. This sounds like World War Three.
…”Then men shall again conquer the ocean and the air and once man has harnessed the lightning the great wars will shake the Earth. And then when the Sons of the Morning come to guide man, the ancient home of my people will rise from its place neath the dark ocean waves. Man will progress until he dissolves into the Light., becomes one with the source. Aye, in a time that is yet unborn, all shall be one and One shall be All.”…(Read the full prediction below in Tablet Twelve).
The Emerald Tablets are said to be tablets of emerald green stone inscribed with the secrets of the Universe. There are fifteen tablets all together. The source of the original Emerald Tablets are unclear and many legends surround them. One legend claims that the tablets were found in a caved tomb under the statue of Hermes in Tyana, in the hands of the of Hermes Trismegistus himself. Other sources, like the translation of the tablet done by Dr. M Doreal in 1925, seem to suggest they were recovered from beneath The Great Pyramid in Egypt.
The mysterious green tablets kept their secrets mostly hidden until Dr Doreal was given permission to translate the tablets and then to return them to the pyramid. The secrets of the Philosophers Stone seems to be revealed in clues and prophecies throughout The Emerald Tablets of Thoth.

There is much revealed in the translated work of Dr Doreal. Some say the tablets contain the secrets of the very universe itself.
Dr. M. Doreal was a spiritual teacher of a multitude of seekers of light, having founded the metaphysical church and institute. Doreal wrote all of the organization’s writings and teachings and was granted permission for the esoteric wisdom to be remitted in the public forum by the Great White Lodge and the Elder Brothers of mankind, who shape and form the spiritual evolution for mankind.

Tablet 1: The History of Thoth, the Atlantean
“I, Thoth, the Atlantean, master of mysteries, keeper of records, mighty king, magician, living from generation to generation, being about to pass into the Halls of Amenti, set down for the guidance of those that are to come after, these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis.”
V: Here in the first part of tablet one, Thoth tells us that he is about to physically die and that he is recording the mighty wisdom from Atlantis into The Emerald Tablets.
“Gather ye together my people. Take them by the arts ye have learned of far across the waters, until ye reach the land of the hairy barbarians, dwelling in caves of the desert. Follow there the plan that ye know of.
Gathered I then my people and entered the great ship of the Master. Upward we rose into the morning. Dark beneath us lay the Temple. Suddenly over it rose the waters. Vanished from Earth, until the time appointed, was the great Temple.”
V: Thoth writes of a great cataclysm that would come in his future times. The water would clean all the the earth and only those high atop a mountain in Undal would survive in The Temple of Light. Thoth would board “the great ship of the master” that would rise even higher than the temple of light. He wrote that the Atlanteans had brought the cataclysm upon themselves. They had become degenerate in their hearts.
Tablet 2: The Halls of Amenti
V: According to Thoth, there is a passage to Amenti which is the underworld beneath the sunken Atlantic from beneath the Great Pyramid. This passage to The Halls of Amenti reaches almost to the summit of the pyramid. At the apex Thoth placed a crystal that drew the force from out of the ether.
“He who in courage would dare the dark realms, let him be purified first by long fasting. Lie in the sarcophagus of stone in my chamber. Then to reveal I to him the great mysteries.”
V: The Children of Light sleep in Amenti beneath the sunken Atlantis. Sometimes they incarnate to teach and guide modern men from darkness to light. In the Halls of Amenti, death frees Thoth from his bondage and allows him to live as long as he wants and choose his own moment of death and to reincarnate to guide man to the light.
Tablet 3: The Key to Wisdom
“All through the ages, the light has been hidden. Awake, O man, and be wise.
Deep in the mysteries of life have I traveled, seeking and searching for that which is hidden.
List ye, O man, and be wise. Far ‘neath the earth crust, in the Halls of Amenti, mysteries I saw that are hidden from men.
Oft have I journeyed the deep hidden passage, looked on the Light that is Life among men. There ‘neath the flowers of Life ever living, searched I the hearts and the secrets of men. Found I that man is but living in darkness, light of the great fire is hidden within.
Before the Lords of hidden Amenti learned I the wisdom I give unto men.”
V: Tablet three speaks of how, “the light has been hidden”. Thoth here is telling us that the knowledge of who we really are (an eternal sovereign being) has been hidden from us. If we knew how much power each of us has we would be free. He is saying that knowledge is power. You will grow and learn much in this lifetime with knowledge.
Thoth says without doubt that the knowledge of man is hidden underground in the Halls of Amenti beneath the Flower of Life. Thoth refers to this knowledge as, “light of the great fire”.
Tablet 4: The Space Born
“Deep in the silence, first ye must linger until at last ye are free from desire. . . Conquer by silence, the bondage of words. Abstaining from eating until ye have conquered desire for food, that is bondage of soul. Centre thy soul in the place of thy consciousness, shaking it free from the bonds of the night. Place in thy mind-place the mage thou desireth. Picture the place thou desireth to see. Vibrate back and forth with thy power. Once your soul is free from bondage, you can seek wisdom free from the fetters of the body.”
V: The writer is telling us above how to free ourselves from our worldly bondage to manifest what we desire in our lifetime. Also, he is clearly speaking about vibrating back and forth to free yourself. This sounds like astral projection or out of body travel.
Tablet 5: The Dweller of Unal
V: Tablet Five is so interesting that I broke down parts of it below.
“Gather thou now the sons of Atlantis. Take them and flee to the people of the rock caves. Fly to the land of the Children of KHEM.” Then gathered I the sons of Atlantis. Into the spaceship I brought all my records, brought the records of sunken Atlantis. Gathered I all of my powers, instruments many of mighty magic.
Up then we rose on wings of the morning. High we arose above the Temple, leaving behind the Three and DWELLER, deep in the HALLS ‘neath the Temple, closing the pathway to the LORDS of the Cycles.
Yet ever to him who has knowing, open shall be the path to AMENTI. Fast fled we then on the wings of the morning, fled to the land of the children of KHEM. There by my power, I conquered and ruled them.”
V: Thoth says that he went on a spacecraft to escape the fall of Atlantis where he lived and ruled before it was destroyed. He was taken to, “the land of KHEM”, which I believe is Egypt and he ruled the people there for the remainder of that physical lifetime.
“Into the spaceship I brought all my records, brought the records of sunken Atlantis. Gathered I all of my powers, instruments many of mighty magic.”
V: Thoth writes that he brought all his records of sunken Atlantis, and instruments of power, and knowledge, which he calls, “mighty magic”. This knowledge was no doubt what was written on, The Emerald Tablets.
“Raised I to LIGHT, the children of KHEM. Deep ‘neath the rocks, I buried my spaceship, waiting the time when man might be free.
Over the spaceship, erected a marker in the form of a lion yet like unto man. There ‘neath the image rests yet my spaceship, forth to be brought when need shall arise.”
V: Thoth writes here that the spaceship he traveled to Egypt in, was buried under the Great Sphinx and would remain there until it will again be used in the future.
“Know ye, O man, that far in the future, invaders shall come from out of the deep. Then awake, ye who have wisdom. Bring forth my ship and conquer with ease. Deep ‘neath the image lies my secret. Search and find in the pyramid I built.”
V: This sounds like an Alien Invasion and Thoth is saying that the spaceship that was buried beneath the Sphinx will allow us to protect the Earth with ease.
“Each to the other is the Keystone; each the gateway that leads into LIFE. Follow the KEY I leave behind me. Seek and the doorway to LIFE shall be thine. Seek thou in my pyramid, deep in the passage that ends in a wall.
Use thou the KEY of the SEVEN, and open to thee the pathway will fall. Now unto thee I have given my wisdom. Now unto thee I have given my way.
Follow the pathway. Solve thou my secrets. Unto thee I have shown the way.”
V: Thoth gives clues to solve the secret of LIFE using the Key of the Seven.
Tablet 10: The Key of Time
V: Thoth was told that the Law of Time came into being so that eternal thought could exist.
“Time does not move, rather we move through time. Time does not change, rather we change in time. Time separates events and gives them coherence. And even though in time ye are separate, yet still are One in all times existent.”
V: Thoth gives us a powerful word which can open hidden planes and bring us the power of full awareness. Use it as a mantra during meditation:
Zin-Uru
“Hark ye, now man, this word I leave with thee. Use it and ye shall find power in its sound. Say ye the word: “ZIN-URU” and power ye shall find. Yet must ye understand that man is of Light and Light is of man.”
Zin-Uru – Definition
The Zin-Uru is the memory to remember the truth of your Full Awareness and that you were meant to be free and not a slave. It is to be used as a mantra or chant during meditation. The word “Zin” is of Egyptian origin and means “power” or “strength,” while “Uru” is of Sumerian origin and means “light” or “brightness”. So, Zin-Uru can be interpreted as meaning – The Power of Light.

Tablet 11: The Key to Above and Below
V: The Lord of the Nine tells Thoth that nothing but the progress of the soul matters. The body is transient as are worldly achievements and here Thoth reveals another startling secret:
“Know ye that in the pyramid I built are the Keys that shall show ye the Way into life. Aye, draw ye a line from the great image I built, to the apex of the pyramid, built as a gateway. Draw ye another opposite in the same angle and direction. Dig ye and find that which I have hidden. There shall ye find the underground entrance to the secrets hidden before ye were men.”
12: The Law of Cause and Effect and the Key of Prophecy
In this tablet, Thoth warns of wars yet to come which will halve the races of men.
“Aye, in a time that is yet unborn, all shall be one and One shall be All.
Then shall there come unto man the great warfare that shall make the Earth tremble and shake in its course. Aye, then shall the Dark Brothers open the warfare between Light and the night.
When man again shall conquer the ocean and fly in the air on wings like the birds; when he has learned to harness the lightning, then shall the time of warfare begin. Great shall the battle be twixt the forces, great the warfare of darkness and Light.
Nation shall rise against nation using the dark forces to shatter the Earth. Weapons of force shall wipe out the Earth-man until half of the races of men shall be gone. Then shall come forth the Sons of the Morning and give their edict to the children of men, saying:
O men, cease from thy striving against thy brother. Only thus can ye come to the Light. Cease from thy unbelief, O my brother, and follow the path and know ye are right.
Then shall men cease from their striving, brother against brother and father against son. Then shall the ancient home of my people rise from its place beneath the dark ocean waves. Then shall the Age of Light be unfolded with all men seeking the Light of the goal. Then shall the Brothers of Light rule the people. Banished shall be the darkness of night.”
V: This sounds to me like World War Three. Half of the population will survive physically after this great war. After the war, the Earth fully enters, The Age of Light. Some refer to this as, The New Earth. Those that stay on the planet will live in a higher energy vibration and dark energies will no longer rule the planet.
“The past is already gone, the future is not yet here. There’s only one moment for you to live, and that is the present moment” ~Buddha
V: Thoth tells us that we can know the future if we know the cause of the future. As The Buddha says, to know the future is to know the present. The future is not fixed, but varies according to the effects created by causes.
13: The Keys of Life and Death
“Desireth thou to know the deep, hidden secret? Look in thy heart where the knowledge is bound. Know that in thee the secret is hidden, the source of all life and the source of all death.”
V: Above Thoth is telling us that all the answers to our questions can be found within ourselves. Look within he is saying.
In the final quote below Thoth gives us exact instruction for a very powerful meditation technique to remember who you really are before you came to earth and got amnesia.
“List ye, O man, whilst I give the secret so that ye, too, shalt taste not of change. One hour each day shalt thou lie with thine head pointed to the place of the positive pole (north). One hour each day shalt thy head be pointed to the place of the negative pole (south). Whilst thy head is placed to the northward, hold thou thy consciousness from the chest to the head.
And when thy head is placed southward, hold thou thy thought from chest to the feet. Hold thou in balance once in each seven, and thy balance will retain the whole of its strength. Aye, if thou be old, thy body will freshen and thy strength will become as a youth’s. This is the secret known to the Masters by which they hold off the fingers of Death. Neglect not to follow the path I have shown, for when thou hast passed beyond years to a hundred to neglect it will mean the coming of Death.
Hear ye, my words, and follow the pathway. Keep thou thy balance and live on in life.
Hear ye, O man, and list to my voice. List to the wisdom that gives thee of Death. When at the end of thy work appointed, thou may desire to pass from this life, pass to the plane where the Suns of the Morning live and have being as Children of Light. Pass without pain and pass without sorrow into the plane where is eternal Light.
First lie at rest with thine head to the eastward. Fold thou thy hands at the Source of thy life (solar plexus).
Place thou thy consciousness in the life seat. Whirl it and divide to north and to south.
Send thou the one out toward the northward. Send thou the other out to the south. Relax thou their hold upon thy being. Forth from thy form will thy silver spark fly, upward and onward to the Sun of the morning, blending with Light, at one with its source.
There it shall flame till desire shall be created. Then shall return to a place in a form.
Know ye, O men, that thus pass the great Souls, changing at will from life unto life. Thus ever passes the Avatar, willing his Death as he wills his own life.
List ye, O man, drink of my wisdom. Learn ye the secret that is Master of Time. Learn ye how those ye call Masters are able to remember the lives of the past.
Great is the secret yet easy to master, giving to thee the mastery of time. When upon thee death fast approaches, fear not but know ye are master of Death.
Relax thy body, resist not with tension. Place in thy heart the flame of thy Soul. Swiftly then sweep it to the seat of the triangle.
Hold for a moment, then move to the goal. This, thy goal, is the place between thine eyebrows, the place where the memory of life must hold sway. Hold thou thy flame here in thy brain-seat until the fingers of Death grasp thy Soul. Then as thou pass through the state of transition, surely the memories of life shall pass, too.
Then shalt the past be as one with the present. Then shall the memory of all be retained. Free shalt thou be from all retrogression. The things of the past shall live in today.”
In the end, Thoth urges us to call on him. Call his name three times in a row: Chequetet, Arelich, Vomalites

The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean download is a Translation & Interpretation by Doreal (Originally published in mimeographed form in the 1930s by a mysterious “Dr. Doreal,” these writings quickly became an underground sensation among esotericists of the time.
