Who is this brotherhood of whom I wish to speak? It is a grouping of souls who have committed themselves wholeheartedly to the shepherding of consciousness as it evolves in a myriad of sentient forms on this planet earth. In many subtle and almost inexplicable ways we maintain and balance the flow of cosmic energies in and around not only the terrestrial sphere but the non-physical planes around it. We also take a hand in the growth of religious faith and all the arts and sciences which bend to mankind in supplication. Knowledge, and the understanding which comes from its contemplation and use, is a vast and perhaps endless sea of information which, we feel, would overwhelm man if he was not exposed to it fraction by fraction. Thus we have filtered and guided over the millennia, attempting as best we can to balance the divine dictum of individual free will against the requirements of the overall harmony in the education of the planet’s many life forms. And of course, we have not always been as successful as we would have liked. For although evolutionary reversals are factored into the grand plan, several were indeed a challenge to cope with, and although our powers are by your standards, fantastic, we despaired of ever fully righting humanity’s listing ship. But as the individual responsibility which accompanies the growth of an individual’s moral nature comes into greater and greater use, there is less and less need for the brotherhood’s oversight as it manifests in the irrepressible energy of the conscience.
We, the brotherhood, which of course, is not gender defined, are an invisible college of souls who have, as you now say, ascended from the cycle of incarnation, or at least the need of it, to those realms of light which are the blissful reward for centuries of struggle with the restraining chains of ego, family, tribe, boundless desire, power lust and oppressive fear, and from which we contemplate, teach and administer. Although our students, incarnate humans for the most part, perform many useful functions in our service, we can manifest in any form suitable to our current task, and often do. You are much more likely to be greeted by a guide or angelic personage than a master in your personal explorations, but do not discount the possibility entirely as our activities have been stepped up of late, as that process you know as the ascension is now in full swing and we do not care to waste any opportunities it may afford.
So if you dream of being with me, or one of my brothers in some heavenly location, learning or celebrating, do not immediately discount it as fantasy, for many of you now have the courage and ability to harmonize your vibrations with ours. Yes, we step down ours to assist you, but you are also stepping up your own for the meeting. And whether you only retain vague wisps of memory upon waking, understand that the experience was real on some level, and that we are very pleased to participate in such joyful reunions as a prelude to more mass level celebrations.
And to this end we would encourage all those ecumenical activities aspired to by the many who would counter the drive toward exclusivity and elitism in their chosen religion and would welcome all those from differing faiths who would dwell in brotherhood and love and would share their devotions to that god of mankind who transcends the gods of sects and denominations.
Whether you believe, as some teachings say, that I, Maitreya, am the essence behind the beings of Krishna, Buddha, Christ and more, or as others insist, that I am some Antichrist, come to bind you in darkness, I ask you to transcend strife and disagreement to truly love your brother, whatever his colour or faith, and share your worldly wealth with the least amongst you, so that I can be there amongst you, for as it was thus written so it will be, that when even a few of you are gathered in the name of the love which transcends all definitions then I can be there with you, calmly or joyously as the occasion demands.
For it is only this presence, this surrender to love, love of god as it manifests in his children, which will convince you of my mission, and no argument, however clever or insistent, could deliver the same. I can only appear when you truly bring me into your hearts and hold me there in honor and honesty. And certainly, it is a case of ‘the more the merrier’.
The brotherhood supports me in this mission, just as I support them in all of theirs. We are a team of individuals who share common goals and who devise and then tend the many paths to their achievement. The education of spirit through the many limitations of sentient forms is the ground plan of evolution, and the goal is the ultimate transcendence of all form, limitation and perspective so that god can have even more friends to play with and that other galaxies and planets can be seeded with other challenging experiments.
