Glimpses of the Ancient Plan
Sometimes it is referred to as the ancient plan for mankind, and sometimes as the ancient plan of all sentient beings. Either way it refers to evolving through many incarnations on all the planes here on Gaia and often planets elsewhere, moving to greater and greater degrees of complexity and useable consciousness. Going from a single celled being that one might have seen in some nature documentary, inching about its neighborhood for sustenance and sufficient durability to reproduce, through greater and greater complexity of form and ability, – mineral, animal, elemental, human, angelic, – to some version of completion, graduation and possible dissolution.
That is only a snapshot, but a useful one to keep in mind as we struggle with our frustrations, ignorance and sufferings, getting caught in the net of the passing moments and wondering if it’s all really worth it. Like a photo of a loved one in a wallet, its nifty to pull it out and remind oneself of the big picture when the details wrap themselves around our ankles like old smelly socks.
I am fortunate enough to experience those glimpses from time to time and what a rush they can be. Suddenly I can envision the process above described as a fast action animated movie where all that evolution of form and function is depicted as if it were a mere blink in one day of the multiverse, nothing to get really concerned about. About as significant as the ant colony in your backyard packing up bags and moving over to the neighbors. Reading up on the rise and fall of civilizations and empires of the last, say, five thousand years can fill in on the more recent details of the cultural and geological shifts involved, and give one a pretty good buzz, – you know, surfing the changes instead of being swamped by them.
The efforts of one’s fearless opening to deep spirit, not unlike that of the deep state, pale by comparison. We may pursue our goals with quiet passion and yet become so enmeshed in the strategies and practices that the transition to the light body of the fifth dimension is lost for a time, and in the struggle to relocate that goal we neglect the greater truth of its relative insignificance.
Yes, it’s all a matter of perspective, of course, like those short films where our town/country is but a speck on the planet’s surface, and then as the focus pulls back and we see the moon and then the planets closest to us and then the entire Milky Way galaxy, effectively turning our self-obsession into something akin to a dust mote in the afternoon sunshine.
The choice between microscope and telescope is not one many of us get the chance to make but science and nature documentaries supply us with enough useful imagery that we can see the split and the similarity. From the tiny to the huge and then the infinite, the ancient plan takes it all into account.
Whether we follow our curiosity down the rabbit hole of the infinitesimally small particles careening about chaotically or expand into the incomprehensibly distant and endlessly expanding galaxies, we seem to end up in the middle, making the best of our predictably humdrum lives, maybe chanting the mantra of ‘as above, so below’ to convince ourselves that we have more than a toehold on the meaning of it all.
My own take on all this is a blend of several sources: hints from gnostic, esoteric and channeled books, telepathic guidance from various guides and wisdom merchants, revelations given and/or witnessed on various OBE trips over the years, and what some call bleed-throughs or downloads from past and future lives. At this point they seem to have all coalesced into a stream of inspiration, one which can be spring-like in its rush or summer-like in its trickle, with clarity of perception seeming to be the key, if indeed ‘meaning’ is a useful descriptor.
Others have reported similar visionary episodes, often under the influence of various psychedelic sacraments, where the evolution of form in many species is depicted, usually with dizzying speed, leaving the user with glimpses and flashes of understanding without the background infrastructure of the esoteric teachings I benefited from. Sometimes personal intuition jumps to their assistance and sometimes they are left flailing in wonderment without a harbor to shelter them from the storm of revelation.
I suspect that those who sign up to study at the various ‘mystery schools’ dotted about the land would benefit from some version of those teachings I refer to. The underground streams of esoteric knowledge, issuing from Atlantis and Egypt/Greece are now free to surface without harassment or punishment, and that group you may have belonged to five hundred years ago, meeting in secret in country houses and inns, can now sun themselves on café patios as they share what once was forbidden. A ‘Seth’ or ‘Bashar’ discussion group would be a perfect example. Having slugged our way through tribal rivalries, the ruthless crush of empires and the fanatics of new religions, I think we deserve some easy time to assess the damage and chuckle about the endless stupidities before heading out on new adventures. You too maybe?
