I started having spontaneous out of body experiences, that I can remember, when I was four years old.
My father was a lifetime military man and we moved every few years from the time I was born. When I was four years old, we moved to Staten Island, NY. We lived in military housing and all of the houses were the same. The day I remember my first out of body experience was a cool fall day in Staten Island, soon after we had moved there.
I was outside on the sidewalk riding my tricycle around the curve of our street. Suddenly, I was at the beach! I don’t remember anything in between.
The beach was cold and very windy. There were heaps of trash consisting of everything from ropes and nets, bottles, and loads of stinking trash. I remember the smell of all the trash and the smell of dead fish. It was dreary and depressing and even at four years old I felt such sadness that we would allow this mess on our earth. I had no idea that the heaps of trash, that had washed in from the Atlantic Ocean, were from people tossing their trash from ships and vessels, from corporations polluting the ocean and all forms of human neglect to the planet. This neglect to our planet continues today but in much worse forms. How sad that we would pollute the very place we are born, live and die.
I couldn’t have been at the beach long but I remember every detail of the complete disrespect for the earth I had witnessed that day.
A few months later my grandmother came to visit us in New York. We would be going to Germany next and she wanted to see us before we went overseas for 3-4 years. My mom and dad decided to take her to the beach. I told them it was dirty and full of trash and that we should make a new plan with grandma instead of the beach. However, the beach was close to our house and mom and dad had never seen it either.
We drove to the beach and parked and got out to an ugly, windy and very cold day. The beach was indeed covered from one end to the other with heaps of stinking trash. Mom looked around and then her blue eyes shot in my direction. She was wondering how I, a four year old, would have known that the beach would be covered in trash. We got out and walked a short ways but the wind and cold were too much for us all. Mom kept her eyes on me as I navigated through the areas where it was most clear. I have no doubt she was wondering how I knew how to easily navigate those heaps of trash, on my first visit, at four years old.
She never asked me so I never told her.
There were other times throughout my life where I had missing time. I always wanted to attribute it to an ET abduction back then but I know that I was having out of body experiences. Some OBEs I could remember and some I could not but I never remembered the details of the method itself (the mechanics), only the experiences until I was around 18 years old.
I was lying on the couch in my apartment because I was very tired that afternoon. I had stayed up late the night before and then worked all day. I got relaxed then suddenly I couldn’t move. I felt like I was paralyzed. I could see around me but everything looked blurred. I tried to move my arms but they might have weighed a thousand pounds. I couldn’t move anything, yet I could see! I kind of turned my sight and saw myself lying on that couch! I was so surprised to see my body that the emotion of it sent me right back into my body. I knew right away what I had experienced but it had never happened in this way. I had always just had spontaneous OBE’s where I remembered them after they were over. This time I saw my body laying on that couch and it was quite a surprise!
