Remembering Why You Came A Simple Method of Awakening
A quiet practice to reconnect with the truth within you—and remember why you are here now.
There is nothing you need to become.
There is nothing you need to chase.
Remembrance is not about gaining something new—it is about removing what is not you.
This method is not complex.
It does not require years of study.
It requires only your presence… and your willingness to listen.
Step 1: Enter the Stillness
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
Sit comfortably. Close your eyes.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath—not controlling it, just noticing it.
Let everything begin to slow.
The thoughts will still come.
Let them pass.
You are not here to stop the mind.
You are here to move beneath it.
After a few moments, bring your attention gently to the center of your chest.
Not the physical heart… but the space within it.
Stay there.
Step 2: Feel Before You Think
Do not ask questions yet.
Do not try to figure anything out.
Instead… feel.
There is a quiet presence within you that has always been there.
It does not speak in loud words.
It does not argue.
It does not force.
It simply is.
Allow yourself to rest in that presence.
If you feel warmth, openness, emotion, or even nothing at all—stay with it.
This is the doorway.
Step 3: Ask from Stillness
Only after you feel settled, ask gently within:
“What is it that I came here to remember?”
Do not repeat the question over and over.
Ask it once… and listen.
The answer may not come as words.
It may come as:
- A feeling
- A sudden knowing
- A memory-like impression
- A pull toward something
- Or even silence that feels full
Trust what comes.
And if nothing seems to come… trust that something is moving beneath the surface.
Step 4: Allow What Rises
As you sit, things may begin to surface.
Emotions.
Memories.
Images.
Thoughts that feel different from your normal thinking.
Do not judge them.
Do not analyze them.
Let them pass through you.
This is part of the unraveling—the layers that have been covering your awareness are beginning to loosen.
Step 5: Return, Again and Again
Remembrance is not always a single moment.
It is a returning.
Each time you come back to this space, the connection deepens.
The noise fades faster.
The presence becomes clearer.
The knowing grows stronger.
You begin to recognize yourself… not as who you were told you are, but as what you have always been.
A Quiet Truth
You are not waiting for permission to awaken.
You are not waiting for something outside of you to activate you.
You are remembering something that has never left you.
And as more of you returns to this awareness… your life will begin to shift.
Not because you are forcing change—
…but because you are no longer aligned with what is not true.
Closing
There is no rush.
There is no pressure.
Only a quiet invitation…
to sit,
to listen,
and to remember.
