Read the Entire Series – Journey To Knowing
Passport to the Afterlife
Watching the Netflix series, Surviving Death, adapted from Leslie Kean’s investigative book of the same name, has reminded me of how many portals there are to explore that country of the mind our culture terms the afterlife. It comes in many packages to suit all tastes and preferences. Indeed, it is infinitely adaptable.
Both the big picture and the small details can be tailored to each individual’s requirements. Whether you need the pleasures of paradise after a grueling incarnation of struggles and stress or the devotional bliss of your prophet’s heaven or the chastening privations of the purgatory your conscience dictates or the hell realm your guilt and grinding angers demand, it’s all ready and available when you finally employ that aging passport or use that access-all-areas pass on your obe ticket. You choose your bliss, pick your poison, enumerate your preferences and indulge.
Sitting in front of my screen, witnessing the various approaches, some traditional, some new, I was pleased to realize that many thousands would have this knowledge unveiled for them. It would illuminate the dull spots in their images of eternity by showing them the ever increasing number of nde and obe visitors, the witnesses to apparitions and ghostly efforts at communication, the children championing the amazing intricacies of conscious past life recall and the general determination of seekers to penetrate the clouds of doubt shadowing their intuitions. The only portals missing were the discoveries delivered to the experiencers of past-life and life-between-life regressions, fields of exploration expanding as fast as any other.
Between the glimpses recorded by the nde and obe experiencers and the discoveries of the clients of life-between-life facilitators we can knit together a reasonable facsimile of the life we lead when dead. While it’s a time of rest, regeneration and renewal of old, and maybe ancient ties, it is also a space of joyful freedoms and pleasures unbounded. It is a breathing eternity blessed with infinite possibilities, especially for those spirits who can unshackle themselves from the horizons of religion, politics, philosophy and science they were educated into during the compressions of incarnation. Not all the dead wish to fly, teleport to Saturn, return to Sirius or Andromeda or eliminate their human form in the bliss of the god consciousness. Many are fulfilled by the lifelong devotion to their faiths and prophets, seeking no more. Many are content to paddle about the the swimming pools of pleasure, of which there are many: the cottage garden, the extended family, the singles-only vacation resorts, the spectacular vistas of mountain ranges and lakes, the marvelous temples of culture and history. Only a few intrepid explorers want to disappear, erasing that cherished personality in the bliss of non-being.
Maybe you are one of them?
