Fear of Flying in the Dark Realm

In occult cosmology, the astral plane is one of several (most often, seven or twelve) planes of existence, along with physical, etheric, causal, and mental. Although humans function within all these dimensions at once, they are usually only conscious of the physical plane. The astral plane is the level beyond the physical, the realm of dreams, spirits, and psychic phenomena, the substance and vehicle for contact between the material and the mystical. 

Within the astral plane, there are believed to be numerous densities and vibrations, commonly divided into lower, middle, and higher planes, each associated with a distinctive sound and color. After death, people are thought to shed their physical bodies and exist in the astral plane in astral bodies resembling their previous physical ones; from there, they may ascend to a higher plane of existence and/or be reincarnated in a different physical form.

There are different densities in the Astral Plane. The place I visited during this OB is a lower dimension between the physical and the non-physical. When an out of body explorer begins to explore the dimensions they usually always come across the realm soon after they begin to explore other realities.

In the lower density of the astral plane the atmosphere is quite dark so I call it the dark realm. It’s a realm that exists because many people that physically die are simply not ready to accept death or some don’t even know they died. Many people lived a life where they have a lot of guilt and don’t believe they deserve better so they send themselves there. The people that live there, can and often do, visit us in the form of a ghost. 

The mix of confusion, anger, guilt, and depression coming from the people that live there give the realm its dark atmosphere. They stay there until they are ready to move on. They choose to go there and they choose when to leave.

The dark realm was a pretty overwhelming place the first time I experienced it. I had to work hard to keep my fear in check because any emotion, like fear, will send you directly back to, “GO” (your body).

I wanted to write about this experience because it shows how my beliefs directed this OBE. My fears made it difficult navigate there. We are eternal sovereign beings and nothing can hurt us but my fear made me forget all that so I got stuck.

Even though it’s a slower process, we can manifest great things in our physical lives on earth but our fear and beliefs hinder us. This OBE is a good example of letting fear rule.
