It was Christmas Eve at about 10pm. I had my kids and girlfriend over all day and I was tired. It was going to be a quiet Christmas this year. My ex-wife had my kids for Christmas Day but I had them all day on Christmas Eve. We opened presents and made a meal together. It was a nice day.
Everybody left and I cleaned up the place and sat in a chair right in front of the Christmas tree to rest. I began to fall asleep. I was at a place where I was drifting in my mind. I started to see land with mountains and little towns. I felt like I was flying over these lands. I could feel cold air but it didn’t bother me.
Then I saw a town that was the brightest of all the others. I felt like landing there so I did. There were people walking around the shopping part of the town and it was snowing the biggest flakes I have ever seen! I landed and every person stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I don’t know if it was my entrance or the way I looked but I feel it was the latter.
I stood there for a few minutes and the people nodded and went on about their business. I’m not sure how they were walking because the snow was deep and they seem to glide right over the top of it. It took a few minutes to understand that this town seemed to be so perfect that it would look great in a snow globe. The people were wearing very old fashioned clothes. The women in long dresses and the men in top hats.
I started into one of the buildings. Other people were coming out and a man held the door open for me. As I went through he told me that what I was looking for, what I needed in my life, was here. I had come to the right place. Then he smiled and went on.
The first thing I noticed inside the building was the lighting. It was like none I have ever seen. I don’t know where it came from because there were no light fixtures. It was a pure light that enveloped you and stayed with you inside the building. Every person was enveloped in their own light and some were different colors. Mine was violet, some were pink and some were very bright white.
The color surrounded each of us. It was a cleansing of my soul. The feeling began to be very intense, almost a vibration inside me. When I looked down at my body it was clear. I could see through myself but I could still see the outline of my legs. I felt as if I couldn’t hold this energy. It was getting to be too much and I thought I would explode.
I could see other people and some were experiencing the intense light energy like I was. Others were just having a glow around them. The people around me stopped and looked at me. They all had smiles on their faces.
Then I saw all colors of lights but they were blurred and at a distance. I felt like I was flying towards the colored lights. I had left that place and was focused on the colored lights now.
I felt myself in my chair at home after a time. When I felt that I could, I opened my eyes and my Christmas tree was in front of me. It was strung with beautiful colored lights that my kids had put on the tree that day. In front of the tree was my grandmother.
I didn’t understand this because she had passed long ago when I was a teen. She looked at me and smiled. She never opened her mouth to speak but she was talking to me. I could hear it inside my mind.
She said to remember all the fun we had. She showed me scenes in my mind of when I lived with her. She used to spend a lot of time talking to me about everything. She listened. Nobody listened like my grandmother. She would put down everything she was doing and listen when I wanted to talk. That woman was always there when I got in trouble too, and that was a lot.
She explained that the experience I had just had was a cleansing. She said that I had needed this and that I had created the experience as a way to leave the past behind and move toward the future. She was so proud of me. I could feel her love all around me.
Then she was gone and I was sitting in front on my Christmas tree by myself. I have had many metaphysical experiences in my life but this one was different. I have so many things I want to do now. It was a very nice Christmas. I hope your’s was too.
