The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man is a card that represents a person, male or female or a situation. The man looks trapped as he hangs seemingly helpless. If we take a closer look at this card we can see that his hands are holding weights. He could let go. One foot is pinned with a weight and the other foot keeps him hanging. It would be a simple matter to relax his foot and release himself but he has chosen to hang there.

The Hanged man can also represent waiting for something. Something that you have almost given up on, but still you wait. The card can tell you sometimes, that you are so afraid of change that you would rather just hang there. You likely understand this card because the hanged man is aware of what’s going on around him, he just chooses to do nothing.
